''Iolaus parasilanus'', the Friendly Sapphire, is a butterfly in the Lycaenidae family. It is found in Ghana, Nigeria, Gabon, the Republic of Congo, Angola, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania.〔(Afrotropical Butterflies: Lycaenidae - Subtribe Iolaina )〕 The habitat consists of forests.
